Lazy Saturday at the Lake

With no major pending plans, I snagged Axle and Icey and headed out towards a quaint little lake for some swimming, splashing and lazy day fun. On the way out there, Axle was totally enjoying the ride...

The lake is Axle's most favorite place. He loves to retrieve tennis balls while launching off the dock to form a magnificent cannonball splash before snatching up the ball, paddling back in and repeating the process until I call it quits. 

Icey likes to join in, though she prefers swimming in circles and splashing instead of jumping off of a perfectly good dock...

The real motivation for heading to the lake is the chance to capture Axle perfecting his shake off routine. Nothing like those derpy dog lips sloshing dribbles of water off of his face. 

 I love that dog and all of his squishy face contortions!
